Dr Rachel Wong
Dr Rachel Wong studied at the University of Sydney and received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) with honours in 2003.
After graduation, Rachel worked as a dental officer at Westmead Dental Hospital for 5 years, which allowed her to practise a range of dentistry within the public health system. In this time she gained some unique experience in Special Needs Dentistry, visiting schools and aged care facilities, as well as in community dental clinics in Port Macquarie, Kempsey, Katoomba, Lithgow, Narooma and Marouya.
In 2010, she joined Twinkle Family Dental as an associate dentist, a place which has since become her “dental home”. In her practice of dentistry, she is interested in preventative treatment, minimal intervention dentistry, and restorative dentistry and treats patients of all ages, from children to elderly patients. She likes to spend the time to listen and explain, to be thorough but gentle, and to ensure that her patients are comfortable in the dental chair. She is committed to help them maintain their teeth for life and build a long-term dental relationship with a trusted dentist and team.
Rachel is originally from Hong Kong but has spent most of her life in Sydney. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her two young children and going to the gym. She loves a good novel, sewing, and playing the keyboard and acoustic guitar.

Myofunctional Orthodontics
Presented by Dr John Flutter, this was an eye-opening and extremely interesting course. The main focus was on how incorrect muscle functions in childhood can lead to crooked teeth. If they are corrected early, it can help prevent some of the problems from developing, as well as preventing or reducing the extent of orthodontic treatment required in teenage years.
