Japanese scientists grow tooth

Japanese scientists reported that they have successfully grown an entire tooth from stem cells implanted into the kidney of a mouse. The new tooth was then transplanted successfully into the jaw of another mouse. This is a big accomplishment. An exciting big step forward for bioengineering.

ACCC ordered recalls of 9 over-the-counter teeth whitening home kits

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) has negotiated recalls of nine teeth whitening home kits from three different suppliers after they were found to contain unsafe levels of peroxide. The suppliers had been notified that DIY teeth whitening products containing more than 6% Peroxide or more than 18% Carbamide Peroxide are considered unsafe.
